LEN’s Economic Panel Explores DMV’s Future

Updated: Mar 29

The Latino Executive Network (LEN) hosted the highly anticipated Regional Economic Outlook event at K&L Gates in Washington, DC, bringing together nearly 100 attendees from the political, business, and media sectors.

We welcomed honored guests including Maryland Councilwoman Rosann "Roxy" Ndebumadu, Guillermo Christensen, Partner at K&L Gates, and CEOs from national and international organizations, as well as representatives from El Tiempo Latino, a leading Hispanic media outlet.

The discussion panel, moderated by Erika Gonzalez, NBC Anchor, provided meaningful and impactful insights into recent economic changes, challenges, and opportunities in the DMV area. The panel featured industry experts, including Brian Hanlon, Director of the DC Department of Buildings, representing Nina Albert, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, Government of D.C.; Daniel Flores, Vice President of Government Relations at the Greater Washington Board of Trade; and Alex Iams, Vice President of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority.

To close the evening, attendees enjoyed cocktails and appetizers during the lively networking reception, where they connected with peers, thought leaders, and industry experts.

Overall, the panelists shared optimism about our region's strengths and resilience to overcome challenges. As we look to the future, it's clear that innovation, collaboration, and partnership will be critical to driving growth and success in the DMV area.

We are grateful to the generous support of our sponsors that made this event possible, including K&L Gates, Bank of America, Latino Economic Development Corporation, US Capital Group, American University Washington College of Law, Captiva Branding, and Cabezahueca Films.
