On Wed night, April 2, we attended a special evening at the beautiful National Gallery of Art, thanks to an invitation from María Bonta de la Pezuela. LEN Founder Mario Ramos, Co-Founder Pamela Nieto, and a few of us from the board were there to take it all in.
We explored two incredible exhibitions — Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist and Chakaia Booker: Treading New Ground. Both celebrating artists whose work speaks to identity, resilience, and social justice.
It was an inspiring night that sparked interesting conversations about how art, culture, and community intersect — themes that inspire our work at LEN.
